About Us
"On holiday with my coeliac husband, we'd done everything right - researched the hotel, contacted them in advance, planned ahead. We arrived to find the same two gluten-free options at every meal, for five days.
That feeling - the low-level exhaustion of never quite being able to relax around food - is something hundreds of thousands of people live with every single day. That's why we built glüf."
- Nicola Gray, Founder
Where We Operate and What We Specialise In
glüf is live across the United Kingdom - England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.
We specialise in one thing: helping people with coeliac disease find places that actually get it.
We are not a general restaurant guide. We don't rate ambiance or value for money. We focus on what matters to coeliacs: staff knowledge, labelling clarity, gluten-free variety, and taste. Our AI builds gluten-free ratings from publicly available data, strengthened over time by structured feedback from glüfers who have actually eaten there.
That focus is deliberate. When you have coeliac disease, eating out isn't about finding somewhere trendy. It's about knowing the kitchen understands cross-contamination. It's about not having to explain your condition from scratch every time. That's what glüf is here for.
glüf has 1,000+ users across the UK, growing entirely through word of mouth in the coeliac community.
Nicola was named Hospitality Business Woman of the Year at the Women in Business Awards 2026, and is shortlisted for Entrepreneur of the Year and Innovator of the Year at the Women in Food and Drink Awards 2026. glüf is shortlisted for Startup for Good at the UK Startup Awards (South East) 2026.
